LiveWire, JP7 and Formless have teamed up to create a new track and Music Video called Pray For Me. Check it out below:

We had a chance to catch up with the lads and have a chat about this track and their music, here's how it went:

LiveWire

Where was the Music Video filmed?

The music video was filmed in a few different locations but all were within the Newport area.

Who produced the Music Video?

The music video was produced by Trinity Records via The Muzik Plug UK YouTube Channel and was filmed and edited by Formless Films.

How Long have you been rapping?

I originally started writing music 15 years ago but have been working on music professionally since I was 10 so 11 years all in all of professional recording and taking music seriously.

How did the journey with music start?

I grew up listening to my brother 'Breeza' who is also an artist from the Newport area and was always in love with the thought of creating my music so I put pen to paper and went from there really.

What is your favourite song to perform?

It would probably be 'Southside Pt. 1' Feat. Murkage as that song is probably my most known and is almost what made me a name for myself in a sense.

Which Welsh rappers do you admire?

There are so many very talented artists within the welsh scene however the music that has been coming out of the studio from the team at the moment has been incredible so I would have to say JP7, Formless, Misfit, Ellis and Adren.

Where can people follow your music?

For music updates and regular content uploads follow my Instagram below as well as 'The Muzik Plug UK' page.

JP7

Who recorded this song?

Trinity Records produced the song from True Love studios.

What does JP7 stand for?

JP (John Payne) are my initials and the 7 was derived from my date of birth by using numerology... (28.09.1986) 2+8+0+9+1+9+8+6 = 43 - 4+3 = 7.

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been making music for about 2 years and producing for 1 year.

Who inspired you to make music?

That's a tough one because I have so many inspirations, but if I have to name 1 person... It has to be, 2pac Shakur.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I usually create hip hop but I love RnB. So with my music I like to make hip hop with a touch of RnB.

What Welsh rapper would you like to collab with the most?

I would have once said LiveWire or formless, but now that has become a reality. So I would Love to work with Eaton.

Formless

Whose idea was it to do this song?

The song idea was put together by JP and we as artists worked on the song together and came with different elements of how we feel about the song topic and got It written and recorded in less than 2 hours.

What first got you into music?

I have always been brought up on music within my family. My dad was in a band years ago and my mother is a huge lover of a lot of genres in music. I started a long time ago and was inspired by the likes of all the pioneers of Garage and Grime so as far back as So Solid Crew if not further also Dizzy and Wiley when sidewinder was a big thing. I also had inspiration from the local scene "Smokey's TV" I think he inspired a large number of people who are still active to this day god bless he left behind so many positive and unforgettable memories R.I.P Smokes. Unfortunately, at the time and through the years I've struggled with mental health that put a barrier between me and success so I quit and moved onto producing music instrumentals for a while, and eventually stopped that also, but after 10 years of not rapping and probably about 6 producing I'm back doing both and I've battled my demon's and feel confident in myself around people and love sharing the same passion as others.

How long does it usually take you to write your songs?

Depends on my mind frame at the time sometimes a few hours if collaborations or maybe a few days or weeks.

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

It's a difficult choice I don't really have a favourite in the present time but I would like to maybe do it with Dizzy or Wiley but if the goat was still around it would be Tupac.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Never put myself down and to believe in myself and to explore to find who I actually am in music

Which famous musicians do you admire?

Tupac, Nas, Immortal Technique, Wiley, Dizzy, Kano, Ghettz and more.
