We, at Urban Culture Wales, managed to get an interview with 2Complex ahead of his clash with EZ Mak at Battleground 2.0 on the 23rd of May at the Danygraig Labour Club in Treharris.
2Complex is a Welsh rapper and battler who has been going since 1998. 2Complex has appeared on Don’t Flop as well as being an active matchmaker for Stat Select Rap Battles.

Here's how the interview went:
How are you feeling ahead of Battleground 2.0?
“I’m really, really looking forward to it. It's been a while since I battled outside a city or in a small room venue like this will be. It can be both daunting and intense, but if you catch that energy and manage to connect in the room.”
Have you seen anything from your opponent that has caught your eye?
“I've gotta be honest, all I've seen of Mak is a performance at a Welsh talent contest and heard a couple of SoundCloud tracks. So he's very much an unknown quantity to me in terms of battling. And that can be dangerous.”
What would you say are your opponents biggest strengths?
“As I said, that unknown factor. There's plenty of footage of me over the years, and a lot to pick at. I don't have the advantage of surprise - he does.”

What would you say are your opponents biggest by weaknesses?
“Come to the show and I'll point them out extensively in the form of aggressive poetry!”
Why are YOU going to win this?
“I've more experience, more stage presence, and will perform a technically better set of bars with depth, range and humour.”
Anyone you’d like to call out?
“ Not particularly. I enjoy the freedom to pretty much battle whoever, wherever and whenever I like, so if an offer to battle piques my interest, then it can go down. That being said, US battler Real Sikh is absolutely amazing and I've a lot of time for Mexico's Aczino. So who knows, World Cup of Battle Rap anyone?”
