We had the chance to catch up with The WheezeTeam. Here's how it went:

How did the journey with music start?
I guess it started with my old man. He's a big music fan and a massive metal head, so I picked up the drums and when I met G we played in a metal band for a while. He asked me one day to make some tracks for him so he could rap and I've been producing since.
Who are your most artists of all time? And why?
I'd say my biggest influences would be Black Sabbath (Ozzy Osbornes solo career is also massive for me) Iron Maiden, Metallica and ACDC. I was brought up listening to them and they shaped my taste, they were so innovative when they started and broke boundaries which I try to implement into my music as well.
What is your creative process like?
It depends. Some tracks I'll start purely with drums, others a little melody and I even wrote a track to G’s Accapella bars back when we started. I just try to get that one thing to kick start the ideas and get that ball rolling.
What is the most useless talent you have?
Recalling old Family Guy and Mighty Boosh quotes.
Who is the messiest person you know?
Uhm... me.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Karen Gillan.
What’s next for you?
I got some solo tracks I've been working on but they're different to hip hop, I've started venturing down EDM see where that takes me.
JimBean
How long have you been making music?
I would say I’ve been producing music for the past 5 or 6 years now. I started off just making basic drum loops on FLStudio to play metal guitar to, but then I met the boys and got more into hip hop and rap and started producing beats along with Ducky, eventually picking up the mic.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
I guess the best advice I’ve been given is to not get hung up on a project, too much fettling and hanging on won't make it any better. I try to finish a song and move on at the moment, but it's not always easy for me. sometimes I feel later on I could have done better.
What inspires you most?
Usually I’m inspired to write when I’m busy at work or just afterward, when my mind is racing. mostly at an inconvenient time, away from my PC. As far as musical inspirations go, I’m a big metal fan so I feel that influences my writing and production. Also Glen's a big inspiration with his insanely creative writing ability. constantly raising the bar and pushing my game.
Where would you like to visit?
California would be a cool place to visit and just spend a week in the sun skating.
What's your annoying habit?
definitely biting my nails. such an annoying habit I can’t kick.
What pet would you love to have?
A Pterodactyl named Pterry who could fly me to gigs.
What else can you tell us about you?
I currently live in a small village called Garnant, in the Amman Valley. I was born on the Isle Of Wight in 1992 and eventually moved to bristol in 2004, and then South Wales in 2007.
My real name is James although most people call me Jim now or Jimmy. I couldnt tell you where 'JimBean' came from. The boys just sort of started it one day and it stuck. we've got alot of nicknames for each other.
What’s next for you in 2021?
Well I just bought a house so I’ve got a lot of work to do regarding that. I’ve got a loft conversion on the go at the moment, and once that’s finished I’ll be starting on the studio. I've also not long had a little boy so you could say my hands will be full for 2021.
OG TitanTeeth
What would you like remembered about you?
A tough question, I'd say I'd like to be remembered by my efforts in music.
What inspires you most?
I draw inspiration from almost anything. But mostly I'd say it would be life and its surroundings, past experiences, and the energy and vibe when in the studio with the team.
Have you ever experienced writers block? If so how did you overcome it?
Of course. Once I hit the wall I tend to leave that specific verse or instrumental and get back to it after a few days with a fresh pair of ears, I find this gives clarity and a sense of direction.
What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?
I've needed stitches after slicing my finger cutting carrots a few years ago, that was pretty dumb I guess.
What would be a good theme song for your life?
That's an easy one, Cypress Hill - I want to get high.
What would be your super power?
Probably time travel. I imagine that would be quite a useful ability to have.
What your plans when lockdown ends?
Isolate with the team in the studio for a month or two, afterwards I'd probably take a vacation somewhere warm to drink freezing bottles of desperado's and chill in a rooftop pool.
