Soldiers of Monochrome, from the Zeta-Reticuli system, have released a brand new track tonight. Check it out below along with their other material below:

We had a chance to have a chat with the intergalictic travellers. Here's how it went:

Can you tell us about The Soldiers of Monochrome.

In the year 4 point zero85, soldiers were sent back in time to prevent an Extinction Level Event from destroying the planet. This is where the journey begins.

Monochrome was forged and created in the Zeta System out in the depths of space. They travelled across galaxy’s and through many dimensions until a rip in the time space continuum, made by high velocity music sound waves, caused these frequency translators to crash land hundreds of years off target here on Earth. They have blended, they have observed, they have remained dormant. Until now. So from Pandora’s box comes Beings with 30 years’ hip hop experience, to combine together to create Soldiers of Monochrome. Lo-ryder and Wired, produce, write and record all original material using many combinations of instruments and advanced technology to develop their distinctive style and hard hitting sound, fuse that with deep lyrical content and devastating hooks…Sit back, Relax, headphones on, and prepare for a journey.

Enter… ‘Soldiers of Monochrome’…

We than asked the lads some indivdual questions. Here's how it went:

Lo-ryder

How did the journey with music start?

My journey started back in the late 80's, the first time I heard Kid n Play and the Fresh Prince it was then I began to write my own verses and realised I had a passion for words.

What inspires you most?

I draw inspiration from anywhere I can find it, sometimes bad things, sometimes

good things, it all goes into the pot.

Have you ever experienced writers block? If so how did you overcome it?

I get writers block at least a few months every year, as I’m sure others do. My tip is don't try to fight it or force it, just to step away, don't pick up the pen and it will come back.

How long does it usually take you to write your songs?

Difficult one, sometimes they happen quite quickly, when we are in the studio together for the day we will at least lay out a frame for a new track including hook. Then develop that track over the coming weeks. A track may go through 4 - 6 mixes to find the right formula.

What one person in Hip-Hop/Rap that has inspired you the most? Why?

Dr Dre, simply for the fact of quality, quantity and drive (and he does it his way!). It's about hip hop for him and not the fluff.

What’s next for you in 2021?

We have a new member that has just arrived, so we are already working on our live sets for the release of lockdown. We have 5 brand new sets. 13 new tracks ready to go this year, that’s before we write new stuff.

We then asked Wired some questions:

What was the trigger point made you decide to get into music?

I was always a kid with too much energy growing up to be around others, so as I got older to about 12/13 and got to the point where I understood what rap/hip-hop was. I felt the energy and the freedom of it and how it made me feel I knew that was something I had to do and it has been the best thing for me ever since.

What is your creative process like?

My music process is actually random depending on how I feel or what style of music I’m aiming to make. It’s pretty much a feeling and then go moment when it comes to making music, but also with that comes a lot of research in my surroundings and everything else that’s going on around the world. So with that knowledge being always a step ahead, it allows me to make music on emotions and feelings while still keeping it structured.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I would say it’s very random yes it’s hip-hop/rap based but every track we bring out is different in its own right.

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

DMX.
