Lemz at Studio 45 is a great producer making moves in South Wales and helping many artists create their artworks. He has created many videos and has racked up millions of views on his channel. His most productive video has been with South Wales VIP Murkage. Check out Murkage - Mary Jane below:
We had the chance to speak with Lemz from Studio 45. Here's how it went:
You are a prominent name in the Welsh Urban Scene. What drives you to be so active?
It the artists themselves that keep me on my toes but of course the passion will always be the main love. I love meeting new artists and watching people grow so as long as they active I will be.
What are your aspirations for your company?
I’m hoping to continue to help others reach their goals. I got a few ideas in the pipeline, interviews and podcast and loads more. I will be a hitting your screens real soon also hope to release some of my own music just trying to find myself with that one.
What was the trigger point that made you decide to get into music?
I’ve always been around music from young. My brothers being very talented and my good friend I grew up with Jon Kings always pushed me to sing and get involved. Then I come to Wales and thought I would get involved down this was by providing a solid platform.
What is your favourite part of Music Production?
Got to be laying vocals and getting stuck into them. I love working with singers and harmonies. I love it but no more than any other kind of artistry, every bit of the process is a beautiful art.
What artist do you think has the most potential in Wales?
That’s a hard one to answer, really there is so much talent out there I can’t put names to it; but we all know who the veterans are.
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Tbf I don’t get much spare time but when I do I kill people (WARZONE) lol. I like the outdoors though if that helps lol. The woods beaches, kayaking, all that normal stuff lol.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Erm that’s a hard one lol but I will have to say Alicia keys purest beauty I seen and her voice.
What's your favourite holiday season?
Has to be the Summer Season in a hot country somewhere be nice right now.
What would be your super power?
I wanna be able to fly lol.
What plans do you have for 2021?
I got so much goin on this year. I’m planning to move into a bigger and better studio, maybe more centre of Cardiff. I have loads of new sessions coming as well as interviews and podcasts. My main mission is to continue to help others grow. The last year has been a madness with all what’s going on in the world, but there are some serious moves going on behind the scene, and when we come back fully, we coming back with a bang.
Also it’s nice to see a few other platforms pop up. It will also be cool to see what they bring so look out for any platform in South Wales really doing their thing. The scene has grown loads and there has always been a scene round these ways from my research, but right now it’s thriving with so many talented artists. It’s good to see the new faces coming through but at the same time never forget you pay homage to the ones that created this. They been in it for years, love to every one of them.
I got to mention Mary Jane. It has helped me build the platform so I have to say big up my bro Murkage. I had an idea we made it pop for myself and for him as well, that song has done many good things currently sitting at 2.4 million views on YouTube.
