We had the chance to catch up with Chew for a good chat. Here's how it went:

Where was the Music Video filmed?

So Murda Was Filmed on the hills of my home - Cwmfelinfach - Welsh For "Valley Of The Little Mill". I hold those mountains so close to my soul man like there's a million times in my life. I can tell you that they have been there for me when nothing else was. Nature - live it and love it.

Who produced the Music Video?

Doc Black Da Who of Mean Business Records + The Hold Up. One of my nearest and dearest when it comes to visuals. The guy oozes unique quality and is a gentleman of a human being - he also recorded the track - after years of knowing him it's effortless to make waves when were active it's just natural.

How long have you been rapping?

I could never put a number of years on it man! Over 10 years put it that way, but since 2014 I really took myself out of the anxious character I was - defied everyone that ever thought otherwise and have continued to make music - I love it too much to take notice of how long it’s been and I intend to keep that tunnel vision - forward forever -that's the motto.

What inspires you most?

HAHAHAHA Inspiration!! LIFE MAN. There's so much happening out there and whether it angers me, upsets me or makes me fucking scream laughing I will and will always find a way to morph that into inspiration and drive - Travel is the one for the most part - going ANYWHERE just seems to tick boxes for my soul and then the creativity’s there! You'll see this in the new music.

What would be your dream collaboration?

My dream collabs a weird one haha. Obviously most of the pioneers in any way or form so I’ll keep it a lot more linear - I’d love to work with Stig of the Dump - I’ve always loved the guys style and delivery - punchy and powerful - I’d think we'd sound great haha. The countries full of fire right now though and I’ve been making some music with some sick artists from all over the UK. Look out for the link up with the Scottish lads it's a madderz.

Have you ever experienced writer's block? If so, how did you overcome it?

Writers block has never really been a thing. Its more of not feeling like what I'm bringing is my A Game. So these days I'll go over the same verse 1000s of times before I know it's right. Makes my recording process a lot easier in some cases so shout to the engineers - read a book – documentary - something to stem that brain spark again. Thing about blocks is they can always break.

What is the most useless talent you have?

My most useless talent is so shit and useless I don't even know what it is myself - I wanna say the ability to fry eggs with my feet but tbh that's easy truthfully. I'm a Grade A dickhead honestly I am, I can make anything into a joke and even though to me it seems like it's helpful to deal with some situations, I think to everyone else it's pretty fucking useless haha.

What would be your superpower?

Telekinesis so I can roll zoots while I'm busy and also to scratch my back in places I can't reach cause I'm getting fat.

What pet would you love to have?

The pet I'd love to have the most is a kangaroo. I'd call him Hoppsin, and take him for a jog to the pub so he can kick everyone who looks at me - that's a point now I said that - don't try touch me on stage haha.

What would be a good theme song for your life?

Last few questions I've been lmao so - theme song for my life is 100000% Slipknot - Pulse of The Maggots. That track gets me absolutely on one ever since I was young I've been rebellious against most and that tune encapsulates the Fucking noise I wanna make throughout my existence. IF I GOTTA GIVE MY LIFE YOU CAN HAVE IT.

What would you name your boat if you had one?

RAOUL BOAT

What is one message you would give to your fans?

The message to any of my listeners is not only that I love and appreciate the levels of support I get from everyone individually. It's that you'll be seeing some changes in myself as a person, not just a musician. So look out for the levels of energies cause I'm bringing my best out so far - After last year- we are all a little less ourselves - it's been a tough one - but I'm glad you’re still here and I hope I can offer solace in my creations - be safe - be healthy and be good to yourselves – Prosper.

What are your suggestions for the newcomers?

For anyone who considers themselves new - just do yourself to the max - like if you’re in a group of lads, but you all rap the same shit, it'll sound like you all live in the same house you feel me? Stick me in a cypher anywhere and I'll turn heads cause I'm a weirdo. Stand out. Don't be scared and most of all fuck those ones that tell you it ain't worth it or that you look stupid - half of them just wish they had it in them to do the same. trust me on that one. Good luck.

What has 2021 got in store for you?

2021 will see #CHEWNZVOLUME2 DROP - COUNTLESS MUSIC VIDEOS AND LOADS OF COLLABS - I'm making loads of different genres at the moment so I won't say much on those I'll just drop them out of nowhere.

Big up to Urban Culture Wales for the questions. Nice light hearted into for some laughs and news but I'll be in touch very soon with more. Stay Safe. Chewdini.
