Ziggy T, from Anglesey, has just released an EP titled Out of this World. Released New Years Day.

The EP features 4 heavy hitting tracks 2 of which feature North Wales Rap VIP Phore Cite. The instrumentals used throughout are quality Hip-Hop - Boombap style matched by the hard hitting vocals. Each track has energy, fire and style. Check the tracks out below.

We had a chance to ask Ziggy T some questions about himself. Check them out below:

What was the trigger point made you decide to get into music?

My whole family are musicians so I've always had it instilled in me since a very young age, I started playing guitar at the age of 10, I started putting bands together and learning even more instruments a few years on. I've always listened to rap since I can remember but it didn't become my main focus until about 2 years ago when I started writing rhymes and terrible songs! I started putting out music under ZIGGY T once I felt my writing had got to a good point.

How long does it usually take you to write your songs?

For me it all depends, sometimes they come together over a few days with ideas thrown in every now and again but I can also knock out a song fast if I put myself in the right zone. Recently I've been writing songs in one session to keep the flow and ideas on point but I do enjoy taking time and going back to tweak them once the song is finished.

Who is the first person to ever listen to your music? how did they react?

The first person to listen to my music was a really good mate, at the time it wasn't really taken seriously and those songs will never see the light of day as it was a bit of a laugh to us however after my first release (which was a bit more emotional than what I'm doing now) the first message I got where someone felt my music was special and it was also someone very close to me!

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I don't like to put myself in a box but since I started releasing music, I've come to the realisation that I'll be sticking to boombap and also I like to write tongue and cheek, I love a moment when I show someone a song and they either say rewind that or ask did you actually just say that! I do plan on moving back to the story telling every now and again but for now I think I've found my lane.

Other than music what hobbies do you have?

Well.... I recently took up aggressive skating again after a 10-year hiatus (lockdown made me do it) I enjoy cooking as I was previously a chef, so since leaving the industry I'd definitely say it's become more of a hobby. I also love going out on my motorbike, I've been riding for 8 years now plus I live in one of the best places to ride! Which is Anglesey!

Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

Of course! Who doesn't? Some of my favourites are:

This will be - Natalie Cole

Send me on my way - Rusted Root

The Sound of Silence - Disturbed and Myles Kennedy

Which famous musicians do you admire?

Bit of a hard question really as I'm in to so many genres of music however if I stick to the genre of music that I make I'd say

Just to name a few haha, I do listen to so many artists so that's just some I'm listening to a lot at the moment.

What has 2021 got in store for you musically?

Well I've not set out any certain plans but I want to work with more producers, rappers and I'm also looking at maybe getting a singer on some choruses. I'm going to focus on putting out a few singles for a while then I'm hoping to make 'Port Town Residents 2' with the producer 'Hollowboydrowzy' but a little bit different than the last EP, maybe something a bit more funk! Hopefully once the pandemic has calmed down a bit I can get some live shows on the cards too.
