Millz is a young artist from The Valleys that we have a lot of time for. He has a big work ethic and is constantly pushing himself to be better. Check out his latest release What’s Good here:
We had a chance to ask Millz a few questions. Here’s how it went:
Where was the music video filmed and who produced the music video?
The music video for my latest single What’s Good was filmed at Mountain Ash with Studio 45, and produced at studio 45.
Where was the audio recorded for this song and who produced the audio for the track?
The audio for the song was recorded at Studio 45 with Lemz and the beat was produced by Elevation.
What music are you listening to lately?
The music I listen to and have been listening to is mainly Rap, Hip Hop old school kinda stuff and some of the UK Rap.
Can you remember the first time you wrote a song?
The first ever song I wrote was mainly on my mental health struggles I faced on my journey.
First ever song was called Millz rip dink a good mate of mine passed away which was a short message really that I dropped, then, I did one called Millz freestyle I dropped and that was mainly just a rap about my struggles.
Who gave you the support to keep writing in the beginning?
A good mate of mine who sadly passed away give me a lot of support and told me I had talent and when he passed made me push more with the music also family pushed me told me to keep at it.
Who did you play the early songs for?
When I started I mainly shared my music with friends and family.
If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
If I was to put on a show really speaking I’d have artists there who I think support me the most that have give me opportunities with music and would bring them on to.
Where would you like to visit?
Not really got anywhere in mind to visit but would always like to go somewhere warm and nice on holiday with the whole of my family.
What is your biggest/weirdest fear?
Biggest fear always being losing family that’s close to me don’t really have a weirdest fear I’d say one thing which is a weirdest fear is anxiety comes on out of nowhere.
What would be your super power and why?
To be strong minded when I’m feeling low and to be strong daily to over come things I battle in my mind.
What pet would you love to have?
Always wanted a tortoise.
How has the pandemic effected you?
It’s effected me in many ways, a lot of fear it has given me making me feeling really anxious.
What do you think of the pandemic?
There’s a lot to think about really it seems for me like things get better then everything changes rather quick, then, everything goes back down hill just seems to be going in circles. Just hope for it all to be over soon.
What’s next for you in 2022?
To keep consistent with the music, it’s been a busy year with the music achievements been made got a single called Millz Be Mine that’s due to be played at some point in the New Year on BBC 1xtra. I got invited by original Memmzie this year to London for video and photo shoot for the BBC 1xtra guest mix which is a big achievement and my first ever big radio play which I’m looking forward to but over all it’s been a good year and looking forward to 2022.
