2020 was a long year. In terms of creating and releasing music things have become increasingly difficult. Many artists have had to cancel their entire plans for last year and find new ways of expressing themselves. We at Urban Culture Wales realised we wanted to help the Welsh Urban Scene.
Urban Culture Wales ran as a multi-purpose organisation for just over a year in 2016. We started as a blog and also held live events, produced podcasts and recorded music.
Our Past
We held over a dozen events throughout the South Wales Valleys including Rap Battles, events showcasing local talent and free mics to allow any and all to join in.
Our Future
With a wealth of experience and a foundation we can build on. We hope to pick up where we left off and become a place to help promote Culture for the Welsh Urban Scene once more.
Urban Culture Wales aims to promote Welsh Urban music above all else. Whether you're a Welsh artist living outside of Wales or an artist of another Nationality living in Wales we want to hear from you. Our focus is primarily on our blog, so weather it’s your new single, EP or album, a new rap battle or anything else considered Urban Culture we want to help.
